To date, the IC boasts more than 2000 members, including top-charting Billboard Artists, plus  Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award honorees, the highest awards received for music, television, and theater in the US.   The IC’s mission:   Fostering unique and exciting collaborations of passionate independent musicians, composers, and performers who represent every musical genre from around the globe.  Periodically, members come together to perform and collaborate, “live on stage,”  in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.  Their last live gig was in February 2023 in Los Angeles and featured  16 members who were the official Grammy 2023 nominees that weekend.  (And yes, two days later,  most of them won the Grammy!)
This summer, on July 3, 2023, THE INDIE COLLABORATIVE makes its international debut at the Cluny 2 in Newcastle, featuring an evening of jazz, r&b,  gospel, classical, folk, musical theater, new age, folk, pop, rock, and more, with MC, Grant Maloy Smith, and guest-host ” Newcastle’s very own, Trevor Sewell,” a founding member of THE INDIE COLLABORATIVE.
