Longsights live shows are a perfect musical remedy after a long day in this frustrating world. The band’s ability to blend their 90s coloured, indie, guitar pop tunes with a seriously real and immediate connection for audiences, creates a powerful, living-in-the-moment feel which the band naturally give back to the listener.

Clever guitar riffs are clearly influenced by the likes of the Stone Roses, keyboard melodies that would carry their weight alongside the likes of James add a welcome layer of warmth, a bass guitar which naturally weaves in and out of a stripped back drum beat ushers in sounds of very early Kings of Leon, and a well thought out acoustic guitar rhythm for fans of Cast – or even certain Wilco eras – allows the band’s strongly structured vocals to leave a sense of getting on with it and thinking, yeah, we can still enjoy ourselves when we try.

The band are re-approaching their live music, and writing and recording again, at a point in our time that requires that simplicity of a good indie band, the powerful rhythm of that second bite at something that hasn’t quite gone away for good and a band who just appear with a combined and natural ability to make you feel good.
